Introduction

The first two selections on this CD give a picture of Margaret H. Warren, an extraordinary woman, and some indication of her greatness.

The first selection, My Peg, tells some of the interesting events of her lifetime.

The selection Letters from the Home Front gives excerpts from the many rich letters she wrote to her husband while he was in the Pacific during World War II. These letters indicate the many dimensions of this woman's personality.

The Quiet Community is a description of some of the daily life in an assisted living home with many residents with Alzheimer's Disease while she and her husband were there.

Poems by Roland L. Warren includes poems written over the course of a lifetime, some of them from on board the carrier USS Block Island in the Pacific, two of them referring to his wife and their love.
