This Could Be ...

This could be any day; but no ---
The air holds a clinging wonder in suspense,
Caressing the soul,
Swelling it with rapturous response.

Only today the air has known
The fragrant taste of a lover's sweet body,
Freshly anointed, warm and clean.

The mildly drifting wind
Is a lover's breath upon one's breast
Impelling with a rhythmic warmth and coolness.

It murmurs the smooth sounding touch
Of a loving hand
Softly stroking a heavenly glow
Upon one's body.

This could be any day; but no ---
Today is set apart, eternally unique,
As are the hours spent in your embrace.
